Lawtonville owes its humble beginnings to Frank H. Lawton and his son Frank A. Lawton. These two adventurous businessmen took a chicken coop and a dream and quickly turned it into a success story.

A small covered chicken coop housed a homemade printing press in the middle of nowhere. As the news of the printing press grew, and the father and son retained business, recognition grew until other people from local towns started to gravitate to the area surrounding this new printing press. They would come to be known as Lawton Printing. As business grew, jobs were created and the "chicken coop press" was moved to a larger building. Lawtonville grew out of the growth of the printing press. Other businesses including File-EZ folder, a company that creates folders for many retailers throughout the United States, Index Tab, a company that provides many different types of tabs with a national consumer base and Lawton Publications, a corporation that develops and creates Chamber of Commerce Publications emerged, providing an economic base that could sustain many families.

Lawtonville continues to grow and will continue to thrive for many years to come. This is because each and every business in the Lawtonville community goes the extra mile to serve their customers. We realize that every thriving business is the sum total of its employees. We also know that each and every one of these people count.
